Nebo Power Station is located on the western edge of Payson, Utah. The plant is owned by Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS).
Construction of the Nebo Power Station was provided by the EPC Division of Colorado Energy. Commercial operation of the plant began as scheduled in June 2004, and right on budget. Nebo is a 140 MW combined cycle facility with one GE Frame 7EA gas turbine, a Nooter-Erikson HRSG and a GE steam turbine. This plant features combined cycle efficiency coupled with rapid start simple cycle capability via the utilization of a HRSG inlet duct damper.
